Language policy

Vinifera EuroMaster provides training in viticulture and enology presented with European approaches. Wine is not only considered as a product for consumption but also as cultural expression. This model emphasizes the notions of 'terroir' and diversity in wine production.

International students willing to study in Europe encounter a major obstacle :  to have the ability to speak well the national language to follow courses in French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.
  • Vinifera EuroMaster uses English as teaching language during the first year in Montpellier Supagro, France. No prerequisite in French language is required to enter the first year
  • Second year courses are mainly delivered in English. Some of them could be in national language according to the programme of each partner university.
Vinifera EuroMaster programme emphazizes the importance of improving linguistic skills and diversity:
  • during the M1 Montpellier SupAgro provides French as a Foreign Language courses ;
  • during the M1 Montpellier SupAgro organizes classes (4 ECTS) in all the other languages from the Consortium (German, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese). These language trainings help students improve their language skills and facilitate student life in M2 countries during their mobility.

Optional course :
