Transport in Montpellier
In Montpellier and around
By tramway :As part of the Montpellier Agglomération transport network, managed by TaM Montpellier's tramway system is the ideal means of public transportation for getting around Montpellier, visiting many local tourist sites, and generally getting to know the area from a new perspective.
The blue tramway line 1, painted with white swallows, connects the northern part of the city with the Odysseum terminus on the southeast side. Line 2, colorfully decorated in flower-power, goes from east to west. And starting in the summer of 2012, the latest addition - line 3, with its fashionable Christian Lacroix artwork, will cross the city from west to south.
By bus :Montpellier and the Hérault department benefit from a complete bus network that gives you direct and regular access to numerous tourist sites and other cities around the area.
TaM (Montpellier Agglomération Transport company) manages a network of 29 bus lines.
Plan your itinerary
By bike :Vélomagg bicycle service, a green idea for bicycle rentals at an unbeatable price.
To take full advantage of our beautiful weather and gentle environment, stop by one of the city's numerous bike stations and pick up a bike to ride around. You'll feel truly free meandering through town and along 150 km of bicycle paths.
