Programme 2016-2018The programme is organised over 2 years of study, awarding 60 ECTS each. It is open to students from various academic backgrounds.
In year 1, M1, held in Montpellier and Bordeaux, students cover knowledge areas in all core fields of Vine and Wine sectors.
In June, during 1 month, students will follow courses in Bordeaux Sciences Agro, specializing in company and terroir auditing.
In addition to the usual lectures and laboratory practice, an immersion period (1st part of the module Terroir and Company auditing) and several field trips are included in the programme to develop a close view of the industry and strengthen student analytical skills.
To gather experience in the everyday processes of grape production and wine making, it is strongly recommended to carry out internships in wine companies or in grape production before starting the master programme. We equally encourage this practice between the first and the second study years (summer internships).
In year 2, M2, held at one of the consortium partner institutions, students can prepare their future professional and/or academic targets, benefiting from the wide range of possibilities offered in the different countries. Students may deepen specific expertise within this mobility framework that is compulsory in Vinifera EuroMaster programme, and further develop specific knowledge areas during the master thesis internship experience.
