International and sustainable network

Associate partners actively participate in the activities of the Vinifera MSc

Since 2007, EMaVE Consortium has the goal to develop synergies with the wine industry.
The Consortium involves associate partners from the academic, private and public sectors.
They are all selected for their excellence in vine and wine sciences.

For instance:

Gallo E&J participates in the selection of American applications, organising a one-day seminar each year at its research center in Modesto, California.
China Agricultural University and NWAFU (North-West Agricultural and Forestry University) actively participate in the organisation of interview sessions of applicants in China.

Agreement from 2021: Vinifera signs with HES-SO & Ecole de Changins, Switzerland

From October 2024, Ecole de Changins HES-SO Joins the EMaVE Consortium as a Full Partner

Building on a strong collaboration that began with the 2021 call, Ecole de Changins, part of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland (HES-SO), has officially joined forces with the EMaVE consortium to offer a joint diploma in Viticulture and Enology.

This partnership enhances the Master of Science in Life Sciences (MLS) with a Viticulture and Enology (VE) major as a joint diploma, bringing together the expertise of HES-SO and the renowned Vinifera EuroMaster. Swiss students will spend their first year at HES-SO and then continue their second year at one of the universities within the Vinifera EuroMaster Consortium.

For Vinifera students, this collaboration opens exciting new opportunities for master’s theses and summer courses, allowing them to explore the unique characteristics of Swiss high-altitude viticulture and its rich diversity of indigenous grape varieties.

Partnership 2020: Vinifera signs one agreement with Oregon State University, USA

Renewed Partnership Between EMaVE Consortium and Oregon State University

Following the successful visit of the EMaVE consortium to the USA in July 2024, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Oregon State University (OSU) has been renewed for another 4 years.

Originally established in September 2020, this collaboration between OSU’s College of Agricultural Sciences and the EMaVE consortium has been pivotal in fostering student mobility. Each year, two students from the U.S. will have the unique opportunity to join the Vinifera EuroMaster programme for one semester as part of their studies at OSU. Simultaneously, two second-year Vinifera students will conduct their master’s thesis in viticulture or wine sciences in one of OSU’s esteemed research labs in Corvallis, Oregon.

Partnership 2020-27: Vinifera strengthens its partnership in South Africa

The Erasmus+ Agency has officially recognised with high relevance the creation of the consortium of four partners:

– Montpellier SupAgro School (IHEV),
– University of Montpellier (Faculty of Pharmacy),
– INRAE (experimental unit of Pech Rouge)
– Lallemand company

Our project is to create a sustainable space of cooperation between French and South African higher education and research institutions in the field of vine and wine sciences.
